Gemelli Estate News

Seeing Red!

Well vintage is over for another year; not without it's casualties again!

The last 24 hours have seen us receive more than 50mm of rain, which confirms that we will not be picking our own Merlot grapes again this year. Heart wrenching after all the hard work that goes into tendering them for a year, but unfortunately nothing we can do to stop the rain coming down.

Lets just pray that next year we have better luck!

For all you Merlot lovers out there - never fear, we still have our 2011 Merlot and Cabernet Merlot in stock - Retailing for only $20 / bottle and if you haven't tried our new Sparkling Merlot yet, be sure that you do!

Sparkling Merlot - 2011
"The addition of some fizz, sparkle and a touch of sweetness, highlights the deep berry flavours in this wine" - $30 / bottle.

"Growing Chardonnay, Merlot and Muscat grapes on vines planted over 20 years ago provides Gemelli Estate with a wide yet intimate range of wine styles – my personal favourite is the yummy Muscat – easily one of the best in the Hunter Valley."
